Renault Espace tops Britain’s worst cars poll
Big-ass MPV has 71 per cent failure rate
If you own a Renault Espace, then good luck - with a 71 per cent failure rate it’s Britain’s most unreliable car. Other offenders in the Reliability Index top ten, published on Tuesday, were the Jeep Cherokee, Saab 9-5 and Audi TT.
The complete line up looks like this:
- Renault Espace (1997-2002)
- Jeep Cherokee (1993-2001)
- Saab 9-5 (1997-2001)
- Ford Galaxy (2000-)
- Volvo C70 (1997-2002)
- Audi TT (1999-)
- Jaguar XJ8 (1997-2003)
- Vauxhall Frontera (1998-2003)
- Volvo V70 (2000-)
- Renault Laguna (2000-2004)
Britain’s most reliable car, incidentally, is the Honda Civic with just 6 cars in 100 breaking down over a 12 month period.
