1.0.2 update boosts iPod performance

iPod touch to get calendar ‘bug’ fix
Apple CEO Steve Jobs has apparently promised to fix the ‘bug’ that stops iPod touch owners from adding new entries to the player’s Calendar application - and logically, its Address Book too. Apple had originally promised that this functionality would be present in the iPod touch, but then withdrew the claim. It was widely assumed the company did so to create a clearer distinction between the iPod touch and the iPhone, which already has Calendar, Address Book and Notes functions.
Facebook, iTunes to take on MySpace Social networking site Facebook is apparently teaming up with Apple to create an alternative musical universe to Rupert Murdoch’s MySpace. Facebook has allegedly been working on an artist platform that will act as a showcase for new and existing talent, with pages created by solo artists, bands and record labels.
5 ways Alpine can cure your car stereo woes
Getting good quality sound from a car stereo is often a futile exercise - you’re never sat in the right place to hear the music at its best. Glass, cloth, carpets and plastic all conspire to muddy the sound, and then there’s that strange squealing noise your car makes every time you ‘do a doughnut’. Not good. Now Alpine Electronics plans to change all that with Imprint - a new car stereo system that uses equalisation technology to give you the fidelity you’ve always dreamed of.

Flaming MacBook Pros! New power adapters soon
Apple has been forced to completely redesign the MagSafe power adapter for its MacBook Pro laptops. The plans come after a litany of complaints from users and a number of incidents which have seen the adapter’s cables fray, spark, melt and even catch fire. The existing 85W adapter is currently no longer available to buy from the online Apple UK Store.
