Is Mac ultra-thin notebook real or not?
Rumours surrounding the arrival of an ultra-thin Mac notebook moved a step closer to reality today with the latest report from Apple Insider. It says models with a gunmetal grey aluminium enclosure have been seen ‘floating around’ Apple’s Cupertino, California HQ. Which is a neat trick, even for Apple.

2007 was undoubtedly a monster year for Apple - it sold record numbers of Macs, millions more iPods and launched a brand new version of its Mac OS X operating system with Leopard. And then, of course, there was the iPhone - now widely seen as the gadget of the year, thanks to its unique multi-touch interface and combination of killer features. Anyone would be hard pressed to top that little lot, let alone a company that prizes itself on innovation. So what’s next? We gaze into a crystal ball and try to make a few predictions
iPhone vs the Nokia N95: browser wars
One of the biggest criticisms levelled at the iPhone since launch is that by excluding 3G connectivity Apple has effectively hobbled it as a true mobile web surfing machine, unlike Nokia’s N series. But things may be even less clear cut than that. Now enterprising Germans have pitted the iPhone’s web-surfing capabilities using EDGE against those of a 3G Nokia N61 and found very little difference in webpage rendering times.
