USB monitor spews out useful stats

The Yurex 'restless leg' monitor by Maywa Denki

If you can’t sit down without your knees bobbing up and down like a buoy on a restless sea, then you probably need this Yurex leg monitor from Japan.

It can be hooked up to your laptop via USB so you can work out how many leg jerks you do a minute. This is bound to be a knock-out conversation opener killer at this year’s office party.

Except, of course, that the Yurex restless leg monitor doesn’t actually exist.

Instead it’s another in a long line of ‘nonsense machines’ from Maywa Denki – a group of artists, musicians and engineers who love coming up with gadgets that are of no use to anyone whatsoever.

The Yurex is certainly of no use to me – I don’t have restless leg. It’s the rest of my body I can’t keep from shaking.
